Hush Heath Balfour 1503 Rosé
Hush Heath has a firm place among England’s top wine producers – and the delightful Balfour 1503 Rosé offers a very approachable yet still refined English fizz experience.
We love the sophistication of this Balfour 1503 Rosé from Hush Heath Estate, which was a bronze medal winner at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2015. We're excited to be able to share it with you!
Delicate rose petal pink with a fine sustained bead. Crisp and fresh with bright citrus, wild strawberry and dried herbs. Full of refined red berry fruit, pink grapefruit, with lively acidity, balanced with a touch of sweetness on the finish.
Blended for young, fresh, pink fruit dominated style predominately from Pinot Noir. Cool stainless steel fermentations ensure clean varietal fruit character and aromatic intensity. After secondary fermentation in bottle, each is stored for a minimum of 12 months.
2010 is proving to be a classic year for English sparkling wine. The long growing season allowed for the slow development of delicate flavours and a great balance of sugar and acidity at harvest.
Food PairingEnjoy the delightful Hush Heath Balfour 1503 Rosé as an aperitif or with food – chicken, pork, and robust pasta dishes with peppery spice. Winemaker’s favourite match is venison sausages.
