Vintage 2017 has begun
Spring begins in the Rhone Valley, Provence in early March
This Côtes du Rhône from Charles Tort has been awarded three golds and one silver in Paris and Orange competitions for the last four vintages – a delicious introduction to France for a wine novice or a treat for a devoted fan.
This Côtes du Rhône from France has a very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, ripe dried plum and cherry nose with some vanilla notes. It is a dry, medium bodied wine with dried red fruit flavours and a lingering, spicy, mineral-tinged finish.
This wine is delightful with grilled meats, pasta with tomato sauce, hearty vegetable dishes and fine cheeses. Also pairs well with fish and seafood if lightly chilled.
