Domaine de Colline St. Jean Vacqueyras 2014
Domaine de Colline St. Jean Vacqueyras 2014 is a Côtes du Rhone Villages – and is Vacqueyras at its finest.
This current Domaine de Colline St. Jean Vacqueyras vintage is scored at 90 pts. For the last 7 years this wine has scored 89-92pts.
Lively aromas of ripe red and blue fruit, licorice and lavender are complemented by a suggestion of white pepper. Supple and broad on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering juicy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavours and a subtle touch of spicecake. Shows very good depth as well as vivacity, this is Vacqueyras at its finest.
This wine is delightful with grilled meats, pasta with tomato sauce, hearty vegetable dishes and fine cheeses. Also pairs well with fish and seafood if lightly chilled.
Drink this beauty over the coming 5-6 yrs.
